On April 9, 2026, WiGLI (Women in Global Leadership Initiative) participated in a high-level scientific panel on the nutritional value of soy in addressing malnutrition in Burundi. The event was held at Hotel Source du Nil and organized by CENTRE BAHO KIBONDO.
The panel was honored by the presence of Her Excellency, the Minister of Health, and brought together leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from across the health, nutrition, and food systems sectors.
The discussions focused on advancing sustainable, evidence-based solutions to improve nutrition outcomes in Burundi, particularly through the promotion of locally available and nutrient-rich food sources such as soy.
